23 April is a symbolic date for world literature. It is on this date in 1616 that Cervantes, Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died. It is also the date of birth or death of other prominent authors, such as Vladimir Nabokov, Josep Pla and Manuel Mejía Vallejo.
There are some links at the end of this post you can follow to learn more about these facts.
Books are very important in our lives.
You can appreciate it watching the following video story by William Joyce and Brandon Oldenburg "THE FANTASTIC FLYING BOOKS OF MR. MORRIS LESSMORE". It got the Best Animation Short Oscar in the 84th Edition (2012).
It's a hommage to a great book and to the cinema: The Wizard of Oz or Buster Keaton. They also show their love for books.Author: William Joyce and Brandon Oldenburg
